Wallace Investigations & Protective Services (WIPS) is actively hiring 30 Unarmed Security Officers for a high-priority

construction security project in Sterling, VA.

This is a time-sensitive deployment supporting data module deliveries and installation operations. We are seeking

reliable officers ready to work immediately across all shifts.

Position Details

  • Total Team: 30 Officers (10 per shift)
  • Assignment Structure:
  • Two (2) officers per Data Module (DM)
  • One (1) officer stationed outside the DM entrance
  • One (1) officer conducting interior patrols / roaming security
  • Environment: Active construction site with indoor and outdoor duties
  • Coverage Type: Construction security on a controlled compound - WIPS is not providing campus security
  • Access Control: DM doors are badge-controlled; officers provide monitoring and oversight only

Primary Responsibilities

  • Secure assigned Data Modules (DMs)
  • Maintain a strong visible presence to deter unauthorized activity
  • Monitor badge-controlled access points in an oversight role
  • Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols within assigned areas
  • Observe and report incidents, suspicious activity, safety concerns, or unauthorized access attempts
  • Support site safety and security protocols during data module deliveries and construction activity
  • Complete required daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs

Requirements

  • Prior security or construction site experience preferred
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance
  • Strong communication skills and situational awareness
  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
  • Must follow all site safety rules, security instructions, and supervisor/lead direction

PPE Requirements - Read Carefully

  • WIPS provides all required safety gear EXCEPT footwear.
  • Officers MUST provide: Steel-toe or composite-toe boots.
  • WIPS WILL provide: Hard hat with chin strap, high-visibility traffic vest, protective gloves, and safety glasses.

  • This is construction site security, not campus security.
  • Officers provide monitoring and oversight only and are not responsible for operating access control systems.
  • Work takes place inside a secured construction compound with active construction activity and equipment movement.
  • Client name and physical address will be provided at a later date to selected/approved candidates.
