What you'll do...Location Strategy:This role could be based in the following hubs: - Bellevue, WA - Sunnyvale, CA - Bentonville, AR Role summary: As the Principal, Technology Operations, you will lead the strategic planning and execution of large-scale technology programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational priorities. This role demands expertise in financial and program management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement to drive successful delivery across multiple projects. You will influence technology strategies, optimize resource allocation, and foster collaboration across business units. You will work backwards to define the right customer and seller experiences with a bias on improving available selection. By applying a comprehensive understanding of technology trends, cross-border logistics, and operational factors, you will guide initiatives that enhance organizational performance and deliver value. This role requires strong domain expertise in supply chain and logistics operations, particularly in cross-border fulfillment and returns. About the team: The Walmart US eCommerce cross-border team delivers innovative solutions enabling Marketplace sellers to offer fast, affordable delivery. This team excels in program and financial management, stakeholder engagement, and aligning technology initiatives with strategic goals. Collaborating across functions, members monitor progress, mitigate risks, and enhance operational efficiency. With a focus on clear communication, problem-solving, and data-driven decisions, the team supports Walmart's mission by driving effective, scalable technology operations that improve customer experiences and business outcomes. What you'll do:
  • Lead planning, budgeting, and execution of large-scale technology programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and optimal resource allocation.
  • Define program scope, performance baselines, and drive delivery across cross-functional teams including product, engineering, analytics, and operations.
  • Own cross-border fulfillment and returns operations, partnering with carriers and logistics providers to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Monitor performance using key metrics (e.g., OTD, cost, defects) and drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
  • Manage risks and resolve operational challenges across FCs, carriers, and external partners to ensure reliable program execution.
  • Work backwards from customer and seller experience to identify gaps and implement scalable solutions across fulfillment and returns.
  • Drive readiness and execution for new market launches, ensuring scalable and efficient cross-border operations.
What you'll bring:
  • Strong expertise in logistics and supply chain operations, preferably in cross-border eCommerce or international shipping environments.
  • Experience managing carrier relationships and logistics service providers, including performance optimization and SLA management.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data and metrics to monitor performance and drive operational improvements.
  • Ability to translate customer experience insights into actionable solutions across fulfillment and returns.
  • Proven ability to operate in highly cross-functional environments, influencing stakeholders across business and technology teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills with a track record of delivering measurable business impact.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-30008: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
Bellevue, Washington US-11663: The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00
Sunnyvale, California US-11789: The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
