  • Coaching experience at the high school or club level minimum 3 years.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute engaging practice sessions that focus on fundamental techniques, tactical strategies, and game awareness.
  • Provide constructive feedback and individualized instruction to players, fostering their growth and development both on and off the court.
  • Instill a strong sense of sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among players, promoting a positive team culture and ethos.
  • Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes, demonstrating integrity, resilience, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of the sport.
  • Foster positive relationships with players, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community, promoting open communication and collaboration.
  • Uphold the values and mission of Maryvale Preparatory Academy, aligning coaching practices with the school's educational philosophy and principles.
  • Attend relevant meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance coaching knowledge and skills, staying abreast of best practices in the field of volleyball coaching.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience coaching volleyball is required.
  • Knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies, with the ability to effectively teach and communicate these concepts to young athletes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes to achieve their full potential.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of building positive team dynamics and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes, prioritizing character, sportsmanship, and academic success.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and school administrators to support the overall mission and goals of the athletic program.
