This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, investigative thinking, and the ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced remote environment.</p> <h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Conduct employment, education, professional license, professional association, and professional reference verifications</li> <li>Process background screening assignments through fax, email, and the applicant portal system from initial receipt through completion</li> <li>Perform investigative analysis including review of assignments, identification of information gaps, and evaluation of findings</li> <li>Complete various background screening searches including criminal, civil, E-Verify, CBSV, sex offender, social media, drug screening, employment, education, and reference checks</li> <li>Maintain familiarity with applicable background screening laws and regulations including FCRA and other state and federal requirements</li> <li>Communicate professionally with internal staff, clients, vendors, researchers, employers, and applicants via phone, email, and written communication</li> <li>Conduct extensive phone work to complete verifications and provide clients with timely updates on file status</li> <li>Contact employers, educational institutions, courts, and vendors to obtain verification information and status updates</li> <li>Review, interpret, and enter verification and background results into the system and explain findings when needed</li> <li>Compile accurate and complete client reports, including written and verbal explanations as required</li> <li>Conduct quality control reviews on all completed files to ensure accuracy and compliance</li> <li>Maintain familiarity with the TazWorks platform and all system functions</li> <li>Participate in daily huddles, ongoing training, and continuous industry education</li> <li>Maintain awareness of division metrics, performance standards, and production goals</li> <li>Assist with identifying opportunities to offer additional searches or services when appropriate</li> <li>Support creation and updates of SOPs, policies, and procedures related to PBSA accreditation and compliance standards</li> <li>Perform additional duties as assigned as business needs evolve</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities</li> <li>Strong analytical and investigative skills</li> <li>Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Comfortable with high-volume phone communication</li> <li>Ability to work independently in a remote setting</li> <li>Experience in background screening, verification services, customer service, or administrative support preferred</li> <li>Familiarity with TazWorks or similar platforms preferred</li> <li>Understanding of background screening laws and compliance standards preferred</li> </ul> <h2>Compensation</h2> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Pay: $19.00 per hour</li> <li>Remote position</li> </ul> <h2>Benefits</h2> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>401(k) matching</li> <li>Employer-paid contribution toward health insurance</li> <li>Employer-paid contribution toward life insurance</li> <li>Paid time off</li> <li>Dental insurance available at employee cost</li> </ul>
