At Sedgwick, the sky is the limit for what you can achieve.</p> <p>Recognized by Newsweek as one of America's Greatest Workplaces, certified as a Great Place to Work®, and celebrated by Fortune as one of the Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance.</p> <p><b>Position: Vice President of AI Engineering</b></p> <p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p> <ul> <li>Define and implement a robust AI engineering strategy aligned with Sedgwick's goals in claims, risk, and client services.</li> <li>Lead the architecture and development of innovative AI solutions across our global operations.</li> <li>Build and scale a high-caliber AI engineering team, including Applied AI Engineers and ML Engineers.</li> <li>Establish best practices for AI solutions, including LLM integration and workflow automation.</li> <li>Oversee the design of AI systems to enhance claims processing, fraud detection, and operational efficiency.</li> <li>Drive architecture decisions related to AI platforms and integration systems.</li> <li>Ensure secure and scalable integration of AI with existing company platforms.</li> <li>Develop governance frameworks to ensure Responsible AI practices and regulatory compliance.</li> <li>Collaborate with teams across cybersecurity, legal, and compliance to mitigate associated risks.</li> <li>Implement evaluation methodologies to enhance AI performance and reliability.</li> <li>Oversee AI production operations, focusing on performance monitoring and reliability.</li> <li>Translate business priorities into actionable AI project roadmaps.</li> <li>Collaborate with various departments to identify impactful AI use cases.</li> <li>Make informed decisions on AI tools and vendor partnerships.</li> <li>Encourage the adoption of AI solutions through effective partnerships and change management.</li> <li>Mentor engineering leaders to foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.</li> <li>Report on AI strategies, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership and stakeholders.</li> <li>Develop long-term strategic AI roadmaps, positioning Sedgwick as a leader in technology for claims and risk management.</li> </ul> <p><b>Qualifications</b></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.</li> <li>10+ years in software or AI engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.</li> <li>Experience deploying LLM-powered systems and agentic AI solutions in enterprise settings.</li> <li>Significant expertise in RAG architectures and cloud-native design.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of secure integrations with enterprise systems.</li> <li>Proven experience with AI governance and compliance frameworks.</li> <li>Background in regulated industries such as insurance, healthcare, or finance is preferred.</li> <li>Strong financial skills with the ability to manage budgets effectively.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li> <li>Record of delivering impactful, large-scale AI systems.</li> <li>Strong leadership skills to drive alignment across cross-functional teams.</li> </ul> <p>Sedgwick is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug-Free Workplace.
