Website Migration & CMS Setup for Orthodox Christian Podcast / Blog Brand - Contract to Hire

Website Migration & CMS Setup for Orthodox Christian Podcast/Blog Brand

I’m looking for a web developer/designer to help transition my existing blog brand into a new website and ongoing platform called “Church Honestly.”

The site already exists conceptually and was initially generated through Claude AI. I LOVE the overall design and direction of the website, but the issue is that it currently requires coding knowledge to make updates, and I need a version that is practical and sustainable for regular use moving forward.

This site will function as:

- My podcast hub

- Blog platform

- Personal/brand website

- Content archive

- Media platform for future growth

What I Need Help With -

1. Website Migration / Setup:

- Transition content from my current site:

“The Image and the Likeness”

into the new “Church, Honestly” platform

- Organize/import existing blog posts and media

- Ensure the site structure is clean, modern, aesthetic, and functional

2. CMS / Editable Backend:

I need the website converted or configured in a way that allows me to:

- Easily upload blog posts

- Upload podcast episodes

- Update pages

- Change images/text without needing to code

A major priority is making the site user-friendly for ongoing self-management.

3. Domain & Hosting Assistance:

I also need help with:

- Purchasing/connecting the domain

- Pointing the domain properly

- Helping me understand how to manage it moving forward

- Basic hosting guidance/setup

4. Branding & Design Adjustments:

- Add and properly integrate my existing logo/branding

- Maintain the aesthetic and theological/artistic feel of the site

- Ensure mobile responsiveness

- Polish layouts where needed

5. Future Relationship:

Ideally, I’d love to work with someone who would also be available for occasional future updates or maintenance as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

- Strong web design + development skills

- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, Framer, etc.)

- Able to preserve an existing aesthetic while improving functionality

- Good communication and collaborative attitude

- Bonus if familiar with podcast/blog/media sites

Please include:

- Examples of similar sites you’ve built

- Platforms you’d recommend for long-term ease of use

- Whether you offer ongoing maintenance/support

Looking forward to working with someone who can help bring this vision fully to life.
