X (Twitter) Paid Ads Expert - Cannabis App Install Campaigns (Michigan)

Job Description We're hiring an experienced X (Twitter) paid ads specialist to run app install campaigns for a cannabis discovery and dispensary marketplace app. Campaigns will target Michigan, specifically Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and West Michigan markets. This is not a generalist role. We need someone who has run X ads in restricted categories (cannabis, alcohol, gaming, supplements) and understands the compliance requirements, pre-authorization process, and creative restrictions. What you'll do Manage X advertiser pre-authorization and approval process Build and launch app install campaigns geo-targeted to Michigan legal cannabis markets Set up 21+ age targeting, jurisdictional compliance, and age-gated landing pages Develop creative testing strategy across copy, video, and static ad variants Optimize for CPI (cost per install) and downstream retention metrics Provide weekly performance reporting with channel-level insights and optimization recommendations Integrate with mobile measurement partner (AppsFlyer or Adjust) for install attribution Requirements 3+ years running paid ads on X (Twitter) at scale Direct experience with cannabis, CBD, or other restricted-category advertising Proven track record running mobile app install campaigns Familiarity with X's cannabis advertising policy and pre-authorization workflow Experience with MMP attribution (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch, or Singular) Strong creative judgment and ability to brief ad creative Clear weekly reporting Nice to have Prior work with cannabis brands, dispensaries, or cannabis tech Michigan market knowledge Existing relationships with X account reps for restricted categories Budget Open to hourly or monthly retainer.
