Position: Shopify Developer-Health & Wellness (REMOTE) (PST/MST) Location: California Shopify Developer – Health & Wellness – Remote [PST/MST Required] Hi-Altitude Brands is a dynamic, fast‑paced, direct‑to‑consumer company specializing in the development and launch of innovative products across the health, wellness, and beauty industries through digital‑first strategies. Our growing team of experts is committed to improving the lives of our customers. We are seeking a full‑time Shopify Developer who must be located within the PST/MST time zone. This role is 100% remote. As part of our marketing and e‑commerce team, the Shopify Developer will play a key role in developing and maintaining our Shopify storefronts, landing pages, and other digital environments, supporting technical enhancements and optimized shopping experiences that deliver five‑star customer experiences and targeted revenue goals. This position reports to our Senior Shopify Developer and offers an opportunity to refine your technical skills, gain experience in cross‑functional collaboration, and contribute to shaping the future of our organizational e‑commerce strategy for our expanding portfolio of health, wellness, and beauty brands. Familiarity with the supplement industry or an interest in the health, wellness, and beauty industries is a plus and preferred. Base pay range $/yr – $/yr Shopify/Frontend Development, Management & Performance Optimization • Build, customize, and optimize Shopify themes and landing pages using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including frameworks like React.js or Vue.js), and JSON • Ensure all digital environments are developed with a mobile‑first approach, prioritizing load times and optimizing content settings for speed • Stay current with e‑commerce trends, Shopify platform updates, emerging technologies, and new tools that can enhance the customer journey and overall site performance • Continuously refine checkout processes, upsells, cross‑sells, and subscription models to improve conversion rates, increase average order values, and other targeted KPIs • Implement sustainable coding practices • Collaborate and support cross‑functional team requests • Recommend and support the integration and maintenance of industry‑leading Shopify apps and vendor platforms to improve overall performance (e.g., ReCharge, Klaviyo, ReBuy, After Sell, Okendo) • Translate wireframes and concepts into functional, visually appealing interfaces in collaboration with designers and developers • Ensure brand consistency and quality across all design elements and site functionalities QA, Testing, and Maintenance • Participate in peer reviews and test cycles to ensure code quality and proper functionality before deployment • Conduct regular storefront and landing page audits & resolve issues in a timely manner • Support version control protocols using Git and CI/CD tools for staging and deployment • Assist in site monitoring and debugging performance issues or customer‑reported bugs Analytics and Data‑Driven Enhancements • Utilize Shopify Analytics, GA, & other tools to monitor site performance & user behavior • Develop and implement A/B tests to evaluate design and functionality • Utilize A/B testing and data‑driven insights to enhance digital experiences continually Security and Compliance • Support the implementation and maintenance of security best practices, including regular updates, backups, and vulnerability assessments • Support contingency plans to address data breaches, downtime, or system failures • Support compliance practices by implementing and maintaining global regulations, such as ADA, GDPR, CCPA, and PCI‑DSS standards across digital environments • Prioritize accessibility compliance (WCAG) to provide inclusive shopping experiences Qualifications • 3-5 years of hands‑on experience with Shopify theme development (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS) • Familiarity with Shopify Admin API and Graph QL API • Experience with Single Page Application principles.
