THE WORK:

    • You'll support and contribute to the development of Conceptual, Phase 1, 2, and 3 projects cost estimates in a standard Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) format with all required assumptions that support development of current and LRP budgets.
    • You'll prepare standard WBS estimates and assumptions with documentation of confidence factors ranging from study to construction phases of project.
    • You'll prepare side by side analysis of estimates upon request to provide lessons learned and to generate parametric values.
    • You'll support, contribute, and implement the standardization of estimating standards required to develop better processes with the Project team.
    • You'll apply applicable standards, methods, processes and practices, business fundamentals, and performance metrics in the electric, distribution, transmission, and substation areas for all cost estimates.
    • You'll have a strong understanding of design drawings and detailed engineering and construction prints.
    • You'll calculate job requirements from design documents, including quantities, resource hours, duration, limitations, etc.
    • You'll conduct modeling, forecasting, trending, variance analysis, and other estimate-related financial and implementation analysis.
    • You'll track, maintain, analyze and provide current estimating information on scorecard or key performance indicators.
    • You'll prepare, update, and maintain standard material and labor unit costs to support estimate creation and database updates.
    • Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
    • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in transmission, substation, and distribution electrical estimating
    • Valid driver's license and driving record
    • Experience with WinEst estimating software or other computerized bidding software
    • Fluent with Microsoft office

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

    • Ability to read / interpret detailed prints and specifications for conceptual, lump sum or unit pricing.
    • Ability to perform take-offs, compare unit pricing
    • Ability to work in a team environment, good listening, and communications skills
    • Highly organized and detail oriented
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Superior time management skills; must be able to meet strict deadlines
    • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgement, and solve problems

$140,000 - $150,000 a year
