Part- Time Remote Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Desktop)

As we continue to grow our client base, we're looking for an experienced bookkeeper who can hit the ground running and work independently in a remote setting. About the Role You'll manage the day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple client accounts across a variety of industries. This is a long-term, ongoing part-time position — not seasonal — with consistent hours throughout the year. You'll work closely with our tax preparers to ensure client books are clean, current, and ready for tax time. Responsibilities • Maintain accurate books for multiple small business clients using QuickBooks Desktop • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable entry • Record journal entries and ensure proper categorization of transactions • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) • Clean up and catch up client books as needed • Coordinate with our tax team to ensure books are tax-ready • Communicate with clients professionally regarding missing information or discrepancies Requirements • Hands-on QuickBooks Desktop experience is required (QB Pro, Premier, or Enterprise) • Minimum 2–3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a multi-client or firm environment • Solid understanding of GAAP basics, chart of accounts, and bank reconciliation • Comfortable managing books for multiple clients simultaneously • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines without micromanagement • Proficient with email and cloud-based file sharing (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) • U.S.-based with a reliable internet connection Nice to Have • QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification • Experience working within a tax or accounting firm • Familiarity with tax prep workflows and year-end close procedures • Experience with payroll processing or sales tax filing What We Offer • Fully remote position — work from home on a flexible schedule • Flexible hours, Year round • Collaborative, professional team environment • Opportunity to grow with the firm as our client roster expands Please send your resume and a short summary of your QuickBooks Desktop experience, including the types of clients or industries you've supported.
