The Reservations Agent is responsible for converting direct reservations requests to the hotel’s reservation line into loyal hotel guests. Primary responsibilities include monitoring of own reservation conversion rate and upselling resort suites, activities and other revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities include providing personalized service to hotel guests and making accurate reservations. Consistent and clear communication with guests, reliability, and customer service are key to this position’s success.

Functions:

  • Take reservations phone calls as needed
  • Maintain high level of knowledge of the resort offerings, accommodations and departments.
  • Provide assistance with commission payouts alongside Hyatt Commissions Helps Desk.
  • Act as liaison between guest and operations to include reservations details that may include:
    • Guest special needs and request.
    • Arrival and Departure times.
    • Handling any booking issues within Reservations Department and Front Desk.
  • Submit orders into hotel’s amenity system for personalized welcome amenities and welcome cards for VIP’s.
  • Attend regular training meetings with Reservation Supervisor to review booking trends, patterns, booking objections, and other information that would enhance direct sales efforts.
  • Coordinate billing for clients as needed
  • Post reservation deposits as needed
  • Review reservations made daily and block accordingly
  • Work with Director of Revenue on inventory issues and opportunities

The pay rate for this position is $21.00 per hour, plus opportunity for monthly incentives. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM. This can be a remote role within the U.S.

Qualifications

  • Excellent attention to detail and exceptional organizational and time management skills
    Must be results- oriented and able to convey data-based information and ideas clearly
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including identifying, anticipating, preventing and solving problems as necessary
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge with advanced excel skills
  • 1+ years Hotel experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Hyatt's reservation systems and procedures preferred
