About the position

AMC Networks is home to many of the greatest stories and characters in TV and film and the premier destination for passionate and engaged fan communities around the world. We create and curate celebrated series and films across distinct brands and make them available to audiences everywhere. Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, Independent Film Company, Sundance TV and We TV; and film distribution labels Independent Film Company and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business. We are currently seeking a VP - Real Estate, Facilities & Security to join our Real Estate, Facilities & Security team, based in our New York, New York office.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all facilities management, building operations, and workplace services across AMC Networks locations.
  • Ensure offices and production spaces provide best-in-class environments that enable collaboration, creativity, and operational productivity.
  • Lead capital projects, renovations, workplace redesigns, and office relocations.
  • Manage vendors responsible for maintenance, engineering, cleaning, workplace services, and building systems.
  • Implement sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives across the real estate portfolio.
  • Establish operational standards to ensure consistent workplace experiences across global locations.
  • Lead the strategic planning, optimization, and management of AMC Networks’ real estate portfolio, including corporate offices, production facilities, and leased properties.
  • Develop long-term real estate strategies aligned with the company’s business transformation and operational needs.
  • Lead site selection, lease negotiations, renewals, and dispositions in partnership with Finance and Legal.
  • Evaluate space utilization, hybrid workplace models, and portfolio consolidation opportunities to maximize efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Oversee relationships with brokers, landlords, developers, and real estate advisors.
  • Lead enterprise physical security strategy and operations across all AMC Networks locations.
  • Develop and oversee security policies, access controls, surveillance systems, and incident response protocols.
  • Partner with Legal, HR, and IT to manage risk mitigation, business continuity, and crisis response planning.
  • Ensure the safety of employees, visitors, productions, and company assets.
  • Oversee security vendor relationships and security personnel across offices and studios.
  • Manage real estate, facilities, and security operating budgets and capital expenditures.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize operational costs while maintaining high service standards.
  • Establish data-driven reporting and performance metrics related to space utilization, operating costs, and workplace experience.
  • Lead strategic planning initiatives to align workplace investments with company growth and transformation.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team across real estate, facilities operations, workplace services, and security.
  • Partner with HR leadership to support employee workplace experience initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Technology teams on smart building technologies and workplace systems.
  • Support production teams in ensuring facilities and studio spaces meet operational needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on workplace strategy and infrastructure investments.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in corporate real estate, facilities management, or workplace operations.
  • Experience leading real estate portfolios and facilities operations for large, complex organizations.
  • Background managing security operations and enterprise risk mitigation.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing capital projects, relocations, and workplace transformations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in media, entertainment, technology, or production environments is strongly preferred.
