Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Mombasa. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods, managing transportation logistics, coordinating shipments, and providing essential support for logistics operations. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring inventory, managing delivery schedules, and working with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily logistics operations, including transportation, inventory, and order fulfillment.
  • Manage and track shipments, ensuring they meet delivery deadlines and are delivered in optimal condition.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and third-party providers to ensure smooth logistics processes.
  • Handle documentation and compliance procedures for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with transporters and logistics service providers.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels to ensure timely procurement and replenishment.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify and implement improvements in the supply chain.
  • Assist in developing and implementing logistics strategies to optimize delivery efficiency.
  • Communicate regularly with customers and internal teams to address any logistical issues or delays.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on logistics performance to management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in logistics coordination, transportation, or supply chain management.

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple vendors and stakeholders is preferred.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position.
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with flexibility required during peak periods.
