Amazon Material Handler - Inventory and Stock Management

Job Summary:

As an Amazon Material Handler in the Inventory and Stock Management team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient movement and storage of materials within our warehouse. Your focus will be on inventory control, stock organization, and facilitating smooth operations across various supply chain processes. This role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, organize, and manage inventory within the warehouse.
  • Ensure the accurate stocking of materials and proper labeling of goods.
  • Monitor stock levels and perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners to manage inventory efficiently.
  • Communicate with other team members and departments to coordinate the movement of goods within the facility.
  • Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing materials to ensure all items meet Amazons high standards.
  • Assist in unloading and loading shipments to and from trucks and containers.
  • Work alongside supervisors and managers to troubleshoot any inventory discrepancies or issues in stock management processes.
  • Maintain safety standards and comply with Amazons policies and procedures at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a warehouse or inventory management role is preferred.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (training can be provided).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) safely.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Basic computer skills for tracking and recording inventory data.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a warehouse or inventory management position is highly beneficial.

Working Hours:
