Business Development Manager, Furniture (Remote – Richmond, VA)

<strong>Overview<br><br></strong><strong>Although this position is 100% remote, we are specifically seeking applicants who currently reside in Richmond, VA to ensure convenient access for regular in-person customer meetings and collaboration.<br><br></strong>The Furniture Business Development Manager is responsible for prospecting, identifying, and developing furniture business with new customers, and profitably growing furniture within existing Company furniture accounts. This position will also collaborate with the office products sales reps to incorporate furniture into existing supply accounts and to help facilitate superior client retention and increase share-of-wallet for furniture in those accounts.<br><br>This position will have the responsibility to achieve individual revenue and gross profit targets within their accounts.<br><br><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience</li><li>Minimum 2 years’ experience in related field</li><li>Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales developing new business and growing accounts</li><li>Experience with Contract Grade Furniture vendors </li><li>Experience in interior design or project management a plus</li><li>Experience and willingness to participate in industry-specific affiliated programs a plus<br><br></li></ul><strong>It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
