HR Officer - Handling HR Compliance and Policies

Job Summary:

The HR Officer will play a critical role in managing and ensuring compliance with company HR policies and legal regulations. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and implementing policies that align with the companys values and legal standards, supporting the HR department, and fostering a positive and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, knowledgeable in labor laws, and passionate about improving HR processes while ensuring smooth operations across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Management: Monitor, implement, and ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and other related HR policies.
  • Policy Development & Enforcement: Develop, update, and enforce company HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Audit & Reporting: Conduct regular audits of HR processes and employee records to ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee queries concerning policies, regulations, and practices in a timely manner.
  • Training & Development: Assist in designing and implementing training programs for employees and management to ensure they understand company policies and compliance requirements.
  • Legal Documentation & Reporting: Prepare reports on HR compliance issues, liaise with legal teams, and handle documentation as needed for audits or inspections.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Ensure that all compliance-related aspects of onboarding and offboarding are properly followed and documented.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in HR compliance procedures and work with the HR team to implement new strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in HR, with a focus on compliance and policy management.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR regulations. Familiarity with HR software and systems (HRMS).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex policies in a clear and concise manner.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage and track multiple compliance-related tasks simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify compliance issues and proactively recommend solutions.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an HR role, with a specific focus on compliance, policies, and legal regulations.
  • Experience working in diverse industries and understanding HR challenges in a corporate setting.
  • Proven track record of handling audits and improving compliance processes.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours during peak periods or when necessary.
