Rig Floorhand - Assist with Drilling Operations on Oil Rigs

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Rig Floorhand to join our dynamic team at Oil Rig Jobs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the rig crew in the setup and operation of drilling equipment and machinery.
  • Operate and maintain rig tools, such as tongs, elevators, and pumps.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the rig floor and surrounding areas.
  • Participate in the handling and transportation of materials to and from the drilling site.
  • Work alongside the driller and rig crew to ensure smooth and efficient drilling operations.
  • Perform routine inspections and assist with preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Assist with the installation, removal, and servicing of drilling equipment.
  • Report any issues or malfunctions of equipment to the supervisor.
  • Ensure all rig safety regulations are followed, including emergency response drills.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and contribute to safety improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of drilling operations and oil rig machinery.
  • Good physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to work in harsh and remote environments for extended periods.
