[Remote] Commercial Lines, Inside Sales Agent (REMOTE)

They are seeking an Inside Sales Agent to sell commercial lines of insurance, providing exceptional customer experiences through various communication channels and ensuring clients receive the necessary coverage and support. Responsibilities Responds to incoming calls/emails from commercial lines insurance agents or prospects and uses multiple internal and external resources and best practices to consult with and educate clients about coverage needs by performing duties such as front end underwriting, risk assessment, financial analysis, and loss runs analysis in order to sell insurance Offers additional Nationwide Insurance products to provide all applicable discounts Performs outbound calls and follow-up work to close the sale as stated in best practices Solicits outbound potential agents or customers who did not purchase during initial inquiry to overcome objections and complete the sale Interpret contracts and/or policy provisions for the most complex states in order to provide explanations and information to customers regarding coverage for all commercial and other product policies. Determines and enters accurate information into all related systems Writes quality risk policies based on underwriting requirements; makes decisions by interpreting and using appropriate classification systems, rating plans, tiers, and selection standards; utilizes training and sales techniques to close the sale Forwards potential customers to other Nationwide channels as appropriate. Answers questions, provides explanations, and makes recommendations to applicants regarding appropriate coverage for commercial policies, limits, deductibles; considers customer needs as well as company guidelines Determines and enters rating information into systems; provides quotation and binds coverage within prescribed limits Completes or collects necessary applications, forms and documents; issues conditional contact/binder within authority Educates agent or customer on payment and audit process Assists and contributes to the team's quotas/goals by meeting individual quotas/goals, as well as unit/team goals Maintains current understanding and proficiency in sales techniques and product offerings, keeps up to date with state guidelines, market conditions and competitors, and systems enhancements. Cross-trains on other products and lines of business Serves as subject matter expert which may include system changes, user acceptance testing, new product releases and assistance in the roll out and adoption with peers. Participates in user meetings with IT, project team, and consultants.
