[Remote] Senior Network Engineer

ECS is a leading mid-sized provider of technology services to the United States Federal Government, seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing network systems that support mission-critical operations across corporate office environments and data centers. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across ECS corporate offices and data centers Manage core networking components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers Ensure high availability and performance of WAN/LAN connectivity between sites Support data center networking, including spine-leaf architecture, VLANs, VXLAN, and segmentation strategies Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues across multiple environments Implement and maintain network security controls (ACLs, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS) Collaborate with systems, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to support hybrid infrastructure Perform capacity planning, upgrades, and lifecycle management of network hardware/software Maintain documentation for network topology, configurations, and standard operating procedures Support incident response and root cause analysis for network outages Skills Ability to pass background checks comparable to DoD Secret 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering Strong expertise in routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) Experience with enterprise networking vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto, SonicWall, etc.) Hands-on experience supporting multi-site WAN environments Knowledge of data center networking concepts and architectures Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools Solid understanding of network security principles Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize competing requirements Familiarity with SD-WAN and MPLS technologies Experience with Network Access Controls (NPS, ForeScout) Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or hybrid connectivity) Knowledge of automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform) Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent) Company Overview Everforth ECS is the federal segment of Everforth, a $4B global organization with over 10,000 employees.
